The Red Mosaic Canary Male is an extremely impressive variety of canary, known for its unique coloration that combines white or off-white shades with impressive red "brushes" in specific parts of the body.
Care and Nutrition:
Requires a special diet with carotenoids (e.g. canathaxin or red paprika) to highlight and maintain the red color during the molt.
Food must be given at specific times, so that the red does not spread to unwanted parts of the plumage.
Requires a clean environment, regular supply of fresh water and fruits/vegetables (such as apple, carrot, broccoli).
Behavior & Environment:
Quiet and sociable bird, gets along well with other canaries in separate cages.
The male sings more, especially during the breeding season.
