Ringneck Albino (Psittacula krameri)

SKU: 600065

The Ringneck Albino (Psittacula krameri) is a striking, white mutation of the well-known Indian Ringneck Parrot (Indian Roselle). The Albino mutation results from the combination of the “Lutino” and “Blue” genes, leading to a complete lack of melanin. Because it is an albino, it is sensitive to bright light and it is advisable to protect it from prolonged exposure to the sun without shade. It also needs special attention in its socialization from a young age to avoid aggression or fear of people.
