Products containing the basic active ingredients of F10 can be used effectively and safely to combat coronavirus disease 2019 (abbreviated as "COVID-19"). Coronaviruses belong to the Coronaviridae family – they are enveloped viruses that are relatively easy to inactivate and pose no challenge for F10. Under laboratory conditions, a 1:500 dilution of F10SC will eliminate the virus. To ensure responsible and practical use by non-professionals, we have decided to recommend a working dilution of 1:100 (10 ml/l), which is consistent with the amount of active ingredients in the F10 Hand Hygiene product range. At this dilution, F10 will also be effective against much more resistant non-enveloped viruses such as canine parvovirus (CPV).



F10 disinfectant usually comes with two measuring cups to facilitate different dilution ratios for different levels of disinfection. The two cups are used to measure the correct amount of F10 concentrate required for mixing with water for either general or high-level disinfection.

Examples of dilutions:

1:500 (General disinfection): Use the smaller cup to measure 2 ml of F10 concentrate and mix it with 1 liter of water.

1:250 (High-level disinfection): Use the larger cup to measure 4 ml of F10 concentrate and mix it with 1 liter of water.

Shelf life: The concentrate has a shelf life of 3 years from the date of manufacture, and the diluted solution can be stored for at least 6 months provided it has not been contaminated.
