ΚΑΝΑΡΙΝΙ Gloster Consort Αρσενικό

SKU: 600081

The Gloster breed was created by English breeders who crossed small Border Fancy and Crested Norwich canaries.
The goal was to create a small, elegant and well-shaped bird with a gentle character and beautiful appearance.
The Gloster Consort is genetically necessary for the breed, as you should never mate two Coronas, as this causes abnormalities in the young.
The correct mating is: Corona (cap) x Consort (no cap)
Song: The male has a pleasant, melodious and soft song. It does not have the complexity of singing canaries (e.g. Harz or Timbrado), but it is quite chirpy and sweet.
Behavior: Very calm, social and friendly bird. Males are more “lively” and tend to sing more when they are alone or in front of a female.
Reproduction: A male Consort is ideally combined with a female Corona. The young are produced with mixed characteristics (some with a cap, some without).
Cage: Minimum length 45–50 cm for one bird. Suitable perches of different diameters. Clean, in a quiet place without drafts. Bath 2–3 times a week (they love to bathe).
Temperature: Ideally 18–24°C. Avoid drafts and sudden changes in temperature.
Lighting: 10–12 hours of light per day (artificial light may be needed in winter).  ...More
